Decisions by the Supervisory Council, 3 July 2024

On 3 July 2024, in addition to the decision to reduce the policy rate at 3.0%, and the overnight deposit and overnight lending rates at 2.0% and 4.0%, respectively, the Supervisory Council of the Bank of Albania reviewed and decided to:

Adopt amendments to the Regulation “On the policy and method of gold management

These amendments aim to allow more room for gold investments for both new counterparties and long-term investments.

Adopt one amendment to the Regulation "On the functioning of the central Albanian Financial Instrument Settlement and Registration (AFISaR) system

The purpose of this amendment is to change the frequency of the fees collected on securities transactions which are settled through AFISaR. Through this amendment, the frequency of the fees collected will change from daily to monthly.
