Regulation 59/2021 “On the licencing of payment institutions and electronic money institutions and the registration of payment service providers''

The purpose of this Regulation is to lay down the conditions, requirements, time frame, documentation and procedures on: licensing of payment institutions and electronic money institutions, in the Republic of Albania; registration in the public registry of payment service providers in the Republic of Albania, who benefit from exemptions as provisioned in article 4, letters “gj” and “h” and in article 28 of Law “On payment services”; granting approval by the Bank of Albania; and obligations of entities to notify the Bank of Albania during the execution of the activity.
