Albanian banknotes historical symbols (second edition)

The banknotes of a country are part of its national identity. The Bank of Albania is the only issuer of the Albanian banknotes and coins, and it has chosen to follow the concept of reflecting historical periods by showcasing portraits of symbolic personalities from those periods on the current series of banknotes. This brochure will introduce you to the personalities who have become images of Albanian currency, as well as with the symbolism that accompanies each of the banknotes that are currently in circulation.
