Quarterly Monetary Policy Report, 2019/III

The primary objective of monetary policy in Albania is to achieve and maintain price stability. In quantitative terms, it is defined as maintaining inflation close to the 3% target. In achieving this objective, the monetary policy sustains the stable and long-term growth of the Albanian economy, promotes financial stability and supports improvement in the overall welfare of society. In accordance with the principles set out in the Monetary Policy Document, the Bank of Albania implements a forward-looking, consistent, balanced, prudent, and transparent monetary policy.
